 2008 Guided Fishing Trips

With the 2008 ocean salmon disaster hitting us like a semi truck into a rock wall, we are changing the face of our business at least for now….

We can provide many angling opportunities besides ocean salmon and local rock fishing. Our local rock fishing closes April 1st but we still have rock fishing opportunities just down the road in Coos Bay. The unique thing about rock fishing on our guided trip is that you have a private boat fishing just 4 passengers. Light tackle rock fishing is a blast!

On to our river fishing opportunities…We have a very healthy run of Chinook & Coho salmon on the Umpqua River and we will be taking advantage of it! Our Southern Rivers also offer great small mouth bass fishing, sturgeon, pink fin perch, winter steelhead, shad and bay crabbing. 

Strike Zone will now focus on taking you to where the bite is on... no matter where it might be!

 Strike Zone is a 28 passenger charter boat, but for comfort we fish 8 people, giving Strike Zone more elbow room than any boat in the harbor.  Strike Zone is also the only US Coast Guard inspected vessel making it one of the safest fishing charters in the fleet. Strike Zone is operated by Capt. Scott Howard who has had a near coastal masters license issued by the USCG for over 20 years. Strike zone can be chartered for Ocean Salmon Fishing, Deep Sea Fishing (rockfish/bottom fishing), Halibut Fishing and special request trips.
 
 Strike Zone II   35 feet in length with plenty of room for 6 people. Strike Zone II is skippered by Capt. Alisha Beck.  Strike Zone II is available for Ocean Salmon fishing trips.
